Abstract In recent years in telecommunications technology has evolved allowing offering more services to users, such as mobile telephony. However due to the increase of these services, the telecommunications sector has been faced with a growing use of the available spectrum. This paper presents problem that must be addressed concerning the then a description of the state of the art on Cogsaturation of the spectrum. Cognitive radio has nitive radio architectures, the proposed solutions presented like the best way to solve this problem, and spectral dimensions where Cognitive Radio focusing their efforts on making more efficient can find opportunities for transmission.
