RESTREPO-BETANCUR, Luis Fernando. Migration in South America in the Last Thirty Years. Ágora U.S.B. [online]. 2021, vol.21, n.1, pp.61-74. Epub 01-Nov-2021. ISSN 1657-8031. https://doi.org/10.21500/16578031.5079.
The objective of the study was to statistically assess the flow of migrants from South American countries over the past thirty years. Tukey’s contrast test was used for the analysis of the information. It was observed that the highest percentage of inhabitants, which has migrated is in Paraguay, with 12.5%; the lowest percentage being in Brazil, which presents statistical difference from the other nations of the southern American continent. It can be concluded that the current political crisis that Venezuela is forced to have had an impact on large population displacements in the last five-year period.
