This paper presents the results of an investigation aimed to understand, promote, and relate wisdoms, practices, and techniques that constitute processes of resistances of some Colombian Caribbean colonized populations, in this case, that of the Kankuama indigenous women linked to their knitting of mochilas and chinchorros. The methodology utilized involved the systema-tization of experiences derived from visits, conversations, and interviews conducted through 2018 in Chemesquemena, in which the focus on wisdom dialogues related to the production of knowledges was put in practice, while the perspectives of the interviewed women were set as the unifying thread.

It was possible to conclude that fique knitting of mochilas and chinchorros constitute one of the main basis of the process of re-ethnization of the Kankuamo people; that women have played a major role in the recovery process of the ancestral culture of this originary people; that knitting represents a central aspect of the life of this community.
