LEZAMA-MENESES, Sandra Rocio  e  BUITRAGO-LEON, Luz Helena. Adaptation and psychometric properties of the prenatal self-evaluation questionnaire for pregnant woman living in bogotá city. Psychol. av. discip. [online]. 2018, vol.12, n.2, pp.61-73.  Epub 20-Dez-2020. ISSN 1900-2386.  https://doi.org/10.21500/19002386.3370.

Considering the relevance of working on psycho-social aspects of pregnant women, this quantitative research aims to adapt and identify the psychometric properties of the Prenatal Self-Evaluation Questionnaire for pregnant women living in Bogotá city. For doing so, the concepts of adaptation and validation of psychometric questionnaires and the results of research concerning the psychosocial aspects of pregnant women were reviewed. In this way, guidelines for adaptation and validation of psychometric tests were followed, so linguistic adaptation of context, validation was carried out of content and construct validity in which the test was applied 430 pregnant women in Bogotá city. The analysis was done using factor analysis -applying the Quartimax rotation method- and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. It was found that the instrument showed acceptable internal consistency and adequate reliability in each of the four dimensions. Finally, as the theoretical construct used as a framework is unidimensional, it is suggested to apply the whole questionnaire for identifying the psychosocial aspects inherent to pregnant women.
