SUAREZ-PICO, Paola; BONELO-CUELLAR, Gynna  e  UTRIA, Oscar. Socio-emotional stimulation software for children with autism spectrum disorder. Psychol. av. discip. [online]. 2019, vol.13, n.1, pp.111-124.  Epub 29-Dez-2020. ISSN 1900-2386.  https://doi.org/10.21500/19002386.4080.

Autism spectrum disorders are characterized by the presence of limitations in emotional reciprocity and social interaction. In this research, software was designed and validated for the stimulation of emotional and social understanding skills in children with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder. The software is composed by three dimensions: emotional recognition, emotional comprehension and understanding of beliefs; Each dimension has levels of low, medium and high complexity. The research was developed under an instrumental design of type psychometric where the units of analysis were the activities validated by 9 judges, 8 of them experts in neuropsychology and intervention in autism and an expert judge in engineering and software development. The data were analyzed using the coefficient formula of the validity ratio and the results show that 99.06% of the items are validated without modifications; 0.94% of the items are conserved with modifications. The validation by the expert judge in software development suggests that the program has the required characteristics for an adequate technological operation. It is concluded that the soft- ware has a valid content for the stimulation of the social and emotional component in children with autism spectrum of high functioning.
