ESTRADA-ATEHORTUA, Carlos Esteban; RUIZ-VARGAS, David; JARAMILLO-OCHOA, Karina  e  OSPINA-VELASQUEZ, Valentina. Social emotions experienced in relation to reconciliation, by inhabitants of the municipality of Cocorná, in a post-agreement scenario. Rev. eleuthera [online]. 2022, vol.24, n.1, pp.179-194.  Epub 12-Ago-2022. ISSN 2011-4532.  https://doi.org/10.17151/eleu.2022.24.1.9.

Objective.

To describe how social emotions related to reconciliation are experienced by the inhabitants of the municipality of Cocorná, Antioquia, Colombia.

Methodology.

This qualitative research, with a hermeneutical phenomenological method, had the participation of 16 inhabitants of this municipality in eastern Antioquia, using the information generated by a semi-structured interview.

Results.

From the data analysis, hope, forgiveness and empathy can be accounted for as social emotions that can manage favorable scenarios for reconciliation in post-agreement time, provided that as affective experiences they can be shared and politicized, since it is precisely in the collectivization of these affects that emotions are managed for peace.

Conclusion.

It is necessary to understand the affective experience beyond the individual and establish horizons of social understanding.

Palavras-chave : Social affectivity; hope; forgiveness; empathy; reconciliation; armed conflict.
