YANEZ-PEREIRA, Víctor R.. The visit as a sphere of knowledge in social work. Comprehensive reading of the act of visitation. Rev. eleuthera [online]. 2023, vol.25, n.2, pp.147-170. Epub 18-Jun-2024. ISSN 2011-4532. https://doi.org/10.17151/eleu.2023.25.1.8.
Objective.
Configure the act of visitation as a sphere of disciplinary knowledge, without reducing it to a means of access and intervention to the domestic space, within the boundaries of the home.
Methodology.
Through the method of documentary review and analysis of manifest content, texts written in Ibero-American Social Work are comprehensively deconstructed.
Results.
The main finding is the void in the location of the visit as a core of knowledge for the profession, privileging its instrumentalization and operational immediacy.
Conclusion.
To assume visitation as a nuance of meaning in the visit, through contemporary hermeneutics and hermeneutic phenomenology, the need to recognize it as an intersubjective process of encounter is concluded, where modus vivendi that inhabit the everyday are revealed between public and private tensions where the effects of the social question occur and are objectified, for which it is essential to produce situated knowledge.
