This article reports a study on the formative actions of teachers in times of health emergency in a provincial educational institution. The objective is to describe how the use and adequate management of technological devices in teachers allow reconfiguring self-training processes in the context of this atypical event. This is a qualitative study, under the methodology of educational action research, collecting data from surveys, logs and interviews. The results show that the didactic units developed with instant messaging applications allow mobile learning in the training of teachers at different levels of education.
