This article shows that financial volatility in the 1990s destabilised the monetary sector. The conjunction of both forms of volatility (financial and monetary) has accentuated the weakest sections of societyl’s vulnerability. Serious thought must be given to an economic policy founding/sponsoring development in a more equitative, less exclusive society to break the vicious generated by the two Vs (volatility and vulnerability).
