Objective
To analyze the perception of welfare among people working in the locality of Chapinero in Bogotá, Colombia, regarding their forms of mobility from home to work and their relationship with the environment.
Materials and Methods
Documentary research conducted in journals, books, graduation projects and information from specialists on the topics to be addressed; with application of surveys to a population sample.
Results
The most relevant result shows that people who work in Chapinero perceive greater safety when moving in Uber (58% rate it as an excellent service) that when using Transmilenio (30%, very bad). 78% of the population feels more comfortable in Uber (78%), compared to 38% who rate Transmilenio as very bad (38%). The best travelling time was found when using the motorcycle (47%, excellent), and the worst in SITP (21%, very bad). Finally, users felt better treated the best by Uber (64% excellent) and the worst by Transmilenio (32% very bad).
Conclusions
The way how people travel, the means of transportation they use for that purpose, and the relationship they have with the environment that surrounds them can influence their well-being and quality of life.
