This reflection article has as its main objective to answer the following problem-question: how are the evolution of the New Violence, the mission of the Public Force and alternative Constitutional Justice interrelated? The temporary cut is 2016-2021. The spatial cut is Colombia, taking into account endogenous and exogenous incidence factors. The methodology is analytical with a qualitative approach without discarding elements of quantitative techniques, relying on secondary sources, collected through an electronic mining exercise. It offers novel concepts for understanding the particular legal-political context. The main conclusion is that due to the constitutional and historical adaptation of the security and defense bodies to the counterinsurgency and anti-drug fight, given the presence of hybrid threats, also mutants in composition, ideology and in time, with national and international actors, linked to the drug trafficking and other businesses plagued by gray actors.
