This reflection article draws on the research project "A semiotic discoursive and socio-cognitive framework for language teaching." This framework recognizes that men and women are beings of action and passion, whose interests are governed by ethical principles, according to which non-indifferent difference prevails. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to inquire about Mikhail Bakhtin's conception of language and its educational projections in humanistic formation, from a dialogic and ethical approach, in which the concept of double alterity prevails. In line with this purpose, as well as with the notions of architectonic, extraposition, and chronotope, the article analyzes different perspectives of meaning-making and its impact on the constitution of the subject, to establish formation as a pedagogical problem associated with values.
