HILARIO, Carla Mara; GUTIERRES CASTANHA, Rafael  e  CABRINI GRACIO, Maria Cláudia. The influence of academic genealogy on scientific collaboration: a study about the mathematics field of Brazil. Rev. Guillermo Ockham [online]. 2017, vol.15, n.2, pp.133-141.  Epub 23-Jun-2021. ISSN 1794-192X.  https://doi.org/10.21500/22563202.3053.

This paper aims to identify the scientific influence of that group on their peers, and identifies the genealogical re- lationships of Brazilian researchers with productivity level 1 at CNPq, in mathematics’ field with other academic researchers. It also aims to map the coauthors network of the production of these researchers with the identification about the genealogical relationships with researchers already inserted in science. In order to do so, it was asked that the PQ1 Researchers should indicate who are their main coauthors, and it was analyzed the scientific production of the respondents in the period from 2010 to 2012, regarding the genealogical relationships among academics research- ers mapped in the coauthorship network. A chart with information about the first and second genealogical degree was made. This paper identifies that the first genealogical relations took place from 1986 and the advised researchers continue working with their advisers, but in the condition of scientific peers. It considers that it was possible to visualize the insertion of researchers in the science and highlight the continuity of the knowledge transmitted during the training as post-graduate students.
