In this reflection it is intended to provide elements for the analysis of economy no longer as an autonomous sphere separated from society, but as a cultural system and therefore as space, time and historical construction. Methodologically, it is an exercise that favors documentary reviewing as a search technique and content analysis as an analysis technique to discover the essence, the intentions and the background of the discourses about culture as a determining issue in economy as cultural produce and cultural producer. The questions that mobilize the analysis allude to: why the culture and economy dichotomy constitutes an artificial split also an inappropriate separatism for the analysis and for the world of economic practices? And, how can culture be explained first as a configuring force and then the economy as a complex area that is the product of a kind of multidimensional interface? Therefore, it is exhorted to think more openly about the economic fact and within the framework of an economic, cultural and multidimensional interface, where certain reductionisms and closures of economic analysis in its mainstream version could be overcome. In this horizon, rationality is put in tension as a preponderant determiner and determining feature in economy, organizations and investment decisions in the perspective of broadening the view and the analytics in congruence with the countless factors that intervene in the transactional determination as in conduct in the complex economic field.
