This text presents a partial tracking of written production linked to the field of knowledges concerning women and gender in the Colombian Caribbean region between 1979 and 2016. It is an inquiry that registers female and male authors from different origins, including feminist scholars, feminist or women's movements collectives, women's organizations, academic research groups and public or private entities at the regional or national level. Contributions, considering works produced in the region or out of it, to which we got access were reviewed, systematized and classified after examining their contents and topics discussed in them, in order to account for the state of the subject.
