GOMEZ URUETA, Carolina. Micoahumado, Tarso and Mogotes: From the non violent civil resistance to the construction of territorial peace in Colombia. memorias [online]. 2023, n.50, pp.89-119. Epub 06-Nov-2023. ISSN 1794-8886. https://doi.org/10.14482/memor.50.611.072.
This article claims the epistemological and political value of three community processes generated within the Colombian armed conflict, which are exercises in nonviolent civil resistance by involving collective civil actors who used peaceful ways to respond to the effects generated by the armed actors and unjust conditions of exclusion to which they had been subjected due to the absence or indifference of the State. In these vulnerable conditions, the communities of Micoahumado (Bolívar), Mogotes (Santander), and Tarso (Antioquia), negotiated security guarantees with the armed groups and demanded that the authorities fulfill their essential functions by taking charge of territorial development planning, strengthening bonds of solidarity and fostering a culture of peace.
