Populations of creole bovine breeds are valuable reservoirs of diversity and this is important feature for the formation and differentiation of breeds. Isolated populations are of great interest because gene frequencies depend on the environment in which they operate, since isolation has prevented them from having genetic exchange with other populations. The objective of the research was to carry out the study of the inheritance of the color of the coat in the Romosinuano creole cattle, from a sample population of animals belonging to the herd of conservation of this breed. The color was determined with the help of the zootechnical parameters of the breed. Bases of Mendelian genetics were applied for the study of the inheritance of the color of the layer of the Romosinuano creole cattle with respect to the bayo, hosco, rojo cereza and mono phenotypes, from a population of 325 specimens belonging to the conservation and preservation herd of this breed. It was found that 49% were bayo color, 25% hosco, 15% cherry red and 11% > mono and it was concluded that the type of gene action that governs the inheritance of hair color in the Romosinuano breed is multiple alleles; being the degree of dominance of the phenotypes: bayo > hosco > cherry red > mono.
