Introduction: The Problem-Based Learning proposes an innovative educational process where the student is learning manager developing behaviors and skills based on self-learning, self-criticism and creativity, also in the ability to work as group in the construction of new knowledge to strengthen the implementation of the Nursing Care Process so that the student has the tools and skills in care management. Objective: The research had the overall purpose to generally determine the relationship between vocational training through problem-based learning, and quality of care, as an alternative to articulate the changes in the care provided by nursing students at the University Inca Garcilaso de la Vega. Materials and Methods: We worked with a nonrandom sample of 154 students, of contributions Data were collected through a questionnaire designed by the researcher. Results: making sure that the training and teaching methodology used problem-based learning are positively related to quality of care. Discussion and Conclusions: Propose the PBL model as a means to get our professional excellence because it promotes the formation, contributes to the creation of beliefs, habits and behavior patterns. Moreover it promotes knowledge assimilation enhancing intellectual abilities and most important it teaches to learn from the real-life problems.
