Today, comparative analysis between different speech communities or between different subsets of a sample in lexical availability studies has become important in the pan-Hispanic world, since the information collected has been used in teaching both the mother tongue and in the teaching of second or foreign languages. The present work on lexicon available in Spanish as a foreign language of Moroccan learners of secondary and higher education focuses on the comparison of four statistical parameters that are usually taken into consideration in any study of this genre: the production of words, the average of words, the production of words and the degree of cohesion. We will also compare our data with other research on lexical availability in Spanish and as a mother tongue and as a foreign language.
