Political marketing is a new field for marketing professionals and it is necessary to know how far its field of action goes. In this senesce, the objective of the article is to explain that marketing is, besides a tool that can be used in election processes, it is a tool that also can be used during those moments in were the organization governs. This means that marketing is always present. For a better exposition of these ideas, publications that relate to this issue empirically and theoretically have been used. The important conclusion is that leaders of political organizations and marketing professionals that work inside these must be sure that the organization's future is linked to marketing actions.
