Resumo

The paper presents the state of the art of teaching of quantum physics, based on which we were able to identify seven (7) trends, which may be useful for future research related to the improvement of teaching and learning processes in this field of scientific knowledge. We followed a hermeneutic-interpretative-qualitative methodology, which involved documentary search to later elaborate categories of analysis and, based on that, encouraging the organization, interpretation, comparison and identification of common and differentiating characteristics. From this study, it is concluded that the absence of conceptual reflection on quantum physics generates difficulties in the education process of the students, since the foundations of this knowledge are generally contrary to the students' intuition and, for this reason, they see quantum physics as an abstract and difficult type of knowledge. On the other hand, there is a strong emphasis on teaching approaches based on algorithmic issues with little analysis, which deepens the learning difficulties, since in many cases students do not possess the required mathematical knowledge. The solutions to the difficulties of teaching quantum physics are not definitive; however, there is a certain recognition of the scope of the nature of sciences as an alternative to rethink their teaching and the initial and continued training of science teachers.
