FARKAS-KLEIN, CHAMARRITA. Parental Evaluation Scale (EEP): Development, Psychometric Properties and Applications. Univ. Psychol. [online]. 2008, vol.7, n.2, pp.457-467. ISSN 1657-9267.
The Parental Evaluation Scale is a self-administered measure to assess satisfaction and self-efficacy feelings about motherhood in women with children aged 0-2 years. The EEP was initially composed of 20 items and was tested on 100 Chilean mothers with infants less that 12 months old. Content validity analysis and discriminative analysis of the items was performed. The test demonstrated adequate internal consistency and factor analysis showed two factors that explain the 63% of variance. The final version of the EEP has 10 items and gives a global score of the maternal self-efficacy in infants' mothers. This preliminary test for the psychometric properties was acceptable; however, further analysis is suggested.
