Mission
Universitas Philosophica, founded by Manuel Domínguez Miranda in 1983, is a biannual academic peer-reviewed journal of philosophy; and an organ of communication of the academic, research, teaching, continuing education and professional service activities of the Faculty of Philosophy, at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, D.C., Colombia. Universitas Philosophica is focused on the promotion of Philosophy as such, and of its relationship with other sciences, practices and knowledge. This journal is aimed at promoting a socially responsible relation with the local, national and international community through a living dialogue enriching the philosophical reflection of mankind. Universitas Philosophica publishes original editions -or authorized re-editions- in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese, every six months. Contributions are evaluated by the Editorial Committee and academic peer-reviwers in a double-blind system. Universitas Philosophica reserves its right to accept or reject contributions according to the recommendations of the Editorial Committee and the results of the review process. Universitas Philosophica adheres to the copyright parameters established by the National Law and the University.
