It is an academic peer-reviewed journal founded in 1979 and published twice a year since 2011 by the Department of Geography of the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Its objective is the dissemination of scientific production in the field of geography at the national and international levels. Targeted mainly at the academic and research communities of geographers, it welcomes original, unpublished articles resulting from research projects, analytical, interpretive, and critical reflection essays, revision articles and book reviews, in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
