Perfil de Coyuntura Económica is aimed to all of those interested in specific issues of Colombian macroeconomics. Here we provide analysis of current economic environment, and other aspects of greater depth and academic rigor, concerning macroeconomic phenomena present nationally and internationally. In addition, we publish, in certain instances, the progress and results of the research conducted by the Group of Applied Macroeconomics, which is part of the Center for Research and Economic Consulting –CIC- and the Department of Economics of Universidad de Antioquia. Therefore, the main purpose of Perfil de Coyuntura Económica is to permanently examine the main facts of the short and medium term that describe Colombian and global macroeconomic performance. Similarly, we aim to review recent economic policy and to present the country’s economic outlook and perspectives.
