Antípoda - Revista de Antropología y Arqueología is the indexed journal published four times yearly by the Department of de Anthropology at the Universidad de los Andes (Bogota, Colombia) and dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of anthropological knowledge and the critical analysis of sociocultural, methodological, and theoretical topics that are important for understanding human problems. Antípodaconstitutes an open, critical, plural forum that publishes articles that make it possible to disseminate and promote discussions in diverse subfields of anthropological knowledge and other related disciplines in the social and human sciences. Starting with the name Antípoda as a metaphor for -otherness,- the journal presents different perspectives, expressed in its sections titled Meridians, Parallels, Panoramas, Documents, and Reviews.
