Abstract

Objective:
The aim is to identify the discursive positions of different actors about obstetric violence and its relationship with the social field of pregnancy, delivery and puerperium care, produced by newspapers from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela from 2010 to March 2017.
Methodology:
Qualitative study, of an exploratory nature using the discourse analysis approach of 120 journalistic notes.
Results:
Discursive positions of professionals and women were identified, both traditional and open visions, in reference to healthcare.
Conclusions:
The interventions on this violence are not isolated, but framed in a context of discussion, where the discursive positions of the actors can be defined and concretized.
