This research article exposes the conceptions about interculturality present in teachers of sciences in initial formation linked to the teaching practice, affiliated to nine undergraduate programs in sciences belonging to public universities of Colombia. The document explains some theoretical aspects and analyzes seven concepts found in the research framework. The methodological approach is qualitative, the strategy used is the collective case study, as techniques to collect the information was considered a semi-structured collective interview and an in-depth individual interview. The concepts addressed emerge from the research and emphasize interculturality for all and interculturality understood as the encounter, interrelation and exchange between different cultures. It is also considered interculturality based on the knowledges dialogue, critical interculturality, decolonial interculturality and the interculturality as part of the education of indigenous peoples. The theoretical and methodological issues raised in this research are intended to be considered in various educational contexts of cultural diversity, in order to go from scientism to an intercultural science teaching.
