Abstract
IMHOFF, Débora and BRUSSINO, Silvina. Exploratory Study of the Psychometric Characteristics of the Portrait Values Questionnaire in Cordoba, Argentina. Rev. colomb. psicol. [online]. 2013, vol.22, n.1, pp.135-149. ISSN 0121-5469.
The survey analyzed some psychometric characteristics of the 21-item version of the Portrait Values Questionnaire (PVQ), an instrument to measure human values (Schwartz & Rubel-Lifschitz, 2009) in a non-random sample of 419 citizens of Córdoba (Argentina), with a mean age of 34.81 and a standard deviation of 10.16. In order to evaluate the evidence of structure and internal consistency, an exploratory factorial analysis (principal components method and varimax rotation) was carried out and Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient was estimated. Results indicate that the instrument has good levels of reliability in the three dimensions: Conservation, Openness to Change, and Self-promotion (α=.68 to α=.71). Nevertheless, the theoretical structure proposed by the author is partially ratified.
