Abstract
MARTINEZ, José Luis Villalobos; ROMERO, Gabriel Antonio Flórez and VASQUEZ, David Alberto Londoño. School and family: their Role at Reaching Academic Achievement. The Experience of Antonio José de Sucre Educative Institution in Itagui (Antioquia) 2015. Aleth. rev. desarro. hum. educ. soc. contemp. [online]. 2017, vol.9, n.1, pp.58-75. ISSN 2145-0366.
In this article, the authors analyzed the results of students', their mothers' and teachers' accounts about the importance of family support in educational processes carried out at schools as an opportunity to reach academic achievement on eleventh grade students of Antonio José de Sucre School in 2015. Such accounts allowed to understand the development of family dynamics as an opportunity to strengthen the educational processes held on schools. From these findings, it can be concluded that, without the complementarity between school and family, the academic processes could generate frustration among students. Therefore, the results became a tool for rethinking the relation of the educational role between family and school.
