ORINOQUIA is a scientist  journal of the  General Research institute, University of the Llanos, dedicated to the dissemination of  research results and new knowledge through the publication of original articles that contribute to improve the quality of life for residents of the region and in general of the Colombian population. 

Its circulation is Semester and for purposes of citation of the journal the following abbreviation Orinoquia is used.
